Well with that checkbox selected, press in Check Updates.
And have now Blue and Purple files, like 918 in total, I select all.
So I put it to update.
One File fail to download but continue
After a long time finish and say: no more updates
I close the updater, open again check the same checkbox, and say it's no more updates.
Then I close the updater, open it check again without the advance mode and still say no more updates.
---
Finally to discard any timezone, language change I made, I install a fresh Windows, with all my regional settings, timezone and time, as usual and normal
Install a fresh Nerf installation, put the version 3.6, update the installer, but now I check using the advance mode and that checkbox, download all the 918 updates and works perfect.
In fact I copy the folder to my main PC, and run the updater selecting manually the nerf.ini location as I always do in the past, and works perfect like in the past.
---
So something selecting the purple and blue files, fix the folder and now detects correctly the version of the local files.

Very odd. I was not expecting it to totally fix itself. However, I did find a few duplicated files that may have caused a few issues and removed them (hence that error you got).

I see.
So what's next? Wait until a 3.7 version?
Try again without any advance mode to see if that duplicated files removed fix the issue?

Advanced mode just shows certain interface options not present in basic mode. It should not affect the logic of the Updater. Feel free to use whichever mode you like.
Doing the File Revert should have brought your files back in sync with the server. At this point you shouldn't have any more issues with the Updater unless something in your system is changing the date modified of the files. I do have some theories as to how this might happen, and it may prompt me to try using checksums, but at the moment I cannot implement this as I cannot checksum files on our update server remotely. For the time being you should be good to go.
When you say 3.7, I just want to clarify that those numbers on the update forum posts are just an internal number I use to keep track of engine changes in NAB. They have no relation to the Updater, as that checks on a file-by-file basis. 3.6.35 just means it's the 35th time I have made revisions to NAB's engine in this version of the Community Pack (3.6). Engine changes create incompatibilities with previous versions, so it's important to know that you're on that latest engine revision if you are hosting a server.
There are not any new updates for NAB right now as I have been working on some other projects, but as long as future updates do not cause the issue to re-surface I think you can continue to play and host as you wish. Just let me know if the issue comes back.

Perfect,
Yes it's working fine now, If get screw again, I can put it in advance mode an fix it again.
By the way, the updater must run everytime you release some update in www.nerfarena.net/index.php/kunena/patch-notes
To update the server and the clients, no?
Thanks!

Yes, sort of. I release updated files sort of randomly, but those patch notes are generally written after I accumulate a few dozen patches together. So for instance, I just released an important bugfix to the one on One gameemode, but if you're not using that gamemode on your server you don't have to get up to date with it immediately. It is when I do major engine changes that you want to try to stay on top of it. When I do those I generally will indicate it in a post on the patch notes forum.
