There's only four vanilla arenas in Nerf ArenaBlast outside of the normal track, and three were used as bonus maps attached to ready rooms. If you played all four in succession, you'd probably come to the conclusion that the Asteroid Bonus Arena is by far the most creative and interesting. Three enormous rocks floating in space make up the play area, and you know what space means in Nerf ArenaBlast: low gravity. The gravity here is low enough to allow you to jump between any of the floating rocks and platforms, and you have enough airtime to really think about your life choices (or take a few shots at opponents on other asteroids). You really feel awesome flying through the lack of air, dodging near-miss darts and balls while picking off your competitors with a well-placed snipe.
Low gravity isn't the only thing that makes this level fun, but it definitely enables some shenanigans. For one, you can use blasters with high-velocity projectiles to send your opponents hurtling helplessly into space. There is also a very satisfying trap guarding the Triplestrike that tends to be a little hard to pull off, but definitely fells great when you do. The area around the trap has increased gravity so players in it tend to fly out the bottom of the asteroid at a pretty comical speed.
Rajada's Recommendation: Try this map with the increased knock-back and Hyperstrikes only mutators. Make your shots count! |

The Asteroid Bonus Arena has always been a fan-favorite and it's not too hard to see why. With just a few players one can have an exciting and varied match full of cartoonish cruelty. Add some mutators in and you can definitely end up with some wild results.
