I mean yeah, if by perfect you mean without any patches or multiplayer capability.

That's the official patches, without the community-made patches it won't have any of the bugfixes or functioning multiplayer included.

At the very least, try one or both of the newest versions of the renderers hosted here:

OpenGL

D3D

These files need to be unzipped into the location where you installed NAB in the Nerf/System folder. However, without the Community Pack, your game wont be compatible with any multiplayer servers, as they're all running 3.4 and you have 1.2.

And if you'd like multiplayer fixed without any of the patches from the CP, you can install the Ini Patcher located here. Just don't install the starter maplists and you should be fine.
